Nashua PAL's 2026 Track & Field Female Athlete of the Year
Congratulations to Alexis Sier, age 12, a sixth grader at Fairgrounds Middle School, on being named Nashua PAL’s 2026 Female Track & Field Athlete of the Year!
For the past four years, Alexis has brought hard work, enthusiasm, and a desire to improve to the PAL Track & Field team. Coach Tara Towle says, “Alexis is a great role model for the younger athletes on the PAL team. She is always willing to demonstrate drills for newer members of the team and help the younger athletes.” Just as importantly, Alexis welcomes coaching and sees every correction as another chance to get better – a mindset that has helped turn her passion for jumping into remarkable results.
This season, Alexis won both the long jump and high jump at the USATF New England Junior Olympics and qualified for Regionals in three events. At Regionals, she captured first place in the long jump and qualified for Nationals in both long jump and high jump. Ask Alexis what her favorite part of her sport is, and there’s no hesitation: “I love long jump.” And she already has a goal on where that love will take her – straight to the Olympics!
Alexis says PAL has taught her “how to be a better athlete,” and credits her coaches and family with believing in her along the way. Now she is becoming a role model herself by demonstrating drills, helping younger teammates, and offering them strong advice: “Try your best.”
Outside of PAL, Alexis stays active by running, ice skating, and spending time with friends. She also enjoys playing the flute. Whether she’s competing, learning something new, or encouraging a younger teammate, Alexis brings the same enthusiasm and determination to everything she does.
Congratulations, Alexis, on being named Nashua PAL’s 2026 Female Track & Field Athlete of the Year!
