Isaac Bernard

Isaac Bernard, a 12-year-old and 7th grader at Elm Street Middle School, is Nashua PAL’s Football Player of the Year! Isaac is a force to be reckoned with on the field and his journey in football has been nothing short of inspiring.

Isaac plays as Center #42, and his dedication to the game is unwavering. He started as a Left Guard but has seamlessly transitioned into his current role. What truly sets Isaac apart is his tenacity and team spirit. No matter the challenges he has faced on the football field, he has never given up. Coach Ben Desfosses had this to say about Isaac: “Isaac Bernard is selected as PAL athlete of the year mainly for two reasons. He is the definition of a football player and a teammate, and as he has grown as a football player, he has surmounted great odds.” Isaac’s determination was evident early on when he pushed through chronic ankle problems during a demanding summer football camp. Even when he suffered a broken leg, he showed incredible resilience by committing to his rehabilitation and returning to support his team in the playoffs.

Coach Desfosses goes on to say, “Isaac continues to be the hardest worker on the team. He overcomes his challenges through strength and conditioning.” Isaac’s dedication extends beyond his own challenges. He has become a veteran and mentor on the team, actively guiding new kids through their football journeys. He has a heart of gold and always encourages the new kids that they too can overcome obstacles.

Outside of football, Isaac is a young entrepreneur with a knack for staying busy. Whether it’s riding his bike with friends, diving into computer games, or brainstorming ways to make money, he’s always eager to take on new challenges. He recently embarked on a freeze-dry candy business with his mom, showcasing his strong work ethic and creative spirit.

Isaac’s heart of gold, determination, and dedication to his team make him an outstanding Football Player of the Year. Congratulations to Isaac on this well-deserved honor!
