Evan Jean

Evan Jean, a 13-year-old dynamo at Fairgrounds Middle School, is Nashua PAL’s Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year! Evan is a remarkable young man and an exceptional runner. He embodies the quintessential athlete that every coach dreams of having on their team. Evan not only shows up at every practice, but always listens attentively and works diligently. When it comes to competition, Evan arrives fully prepared, ready to give his absolute best.

Evan and his teammate, Adam, were PAL’s number 2 and 3 runners respectively. Coach Washington and Coach Daniels believed that by pushing each other to their limits, both Evan and Adam could reach new heights, and they did not disappoint. Evan’s performance at the Association race, where he secured 12th place, was an impressive start. He followed this with an even better showing at the Regionals, clinching the 14th position. Evan’s outstanding performance at Nationals, where he ranked in the top 13% among 382 runners, significantly contributed to the 11-12 Boys’ team’s 8th place finish out of 33 teams.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Evan proved to be an integral part of a tight-knit group of boys. Although he may have appeared quiet around the coaches, he was a friendly and engaging presence among his teammates. Surprisingly, at Nationals, we discovered Evan’s talents extended beyond running—he is also an accomplished musician. He was able to balance school, music, and running at very high levels.

For his remarkable contributions to his team, dedication to the sport, and remarkable spirit, Evan is very deserving of the PAL Cross Country Male Runner of the Year award. Congratulations, Evan!
