Nadia Calden
PAL Coach of the Year

Nadia Calden

2023 PAL Coach of the Year

2023

Nadia Calden is Nashua PAL’s Coach of the Year! Nadia is a coach, a mother, a role model, and a guiding light for the young athletes in Nashua PAL Cheer.

Nadia’s coaching journey with Nashua PAL began in 2018, and since then, she’s been an integral part of the PAL coaching team. Nadia has coached every season of Nashua PAL Force cheer since 2018 AND every season of Nashua PAL’s K9 Winter Cheer since 2019! In 2022, she coached and assisted with Force’s D14 White and D8 teams, along with offering her support wherever it was needed. This year, she’s working with the D10 team, a fantastic group of athletes who are fortunate to have her as their coach.

When asked why she coaches, Nadia couldn’t identify one singular reason… Instead, she listed tons of reasons! “Keeping our athletes busy and active is just part of it. Watching them build friendships and confidence levels; seeing them so happy when they perform; knowing the bonds they create will stay with them… it’s so rewarding!” Nadia is dedicated to building confident individuals who are ready to take on the world.

In the words of Spirit Director Bailey Stevens, “Nadia is a helping hand amongst all NPF teams, to which she stepped into a head coaching position last year without hesitation. She is driven to give these athletes a safe, positive space to share their love for cheerleading. Nadia exemplifies leadership and embodies the heart behind coaching. I am proud to nominate Nadia for Coach of the Year.”

Nadia and her husband, Sean, have four wonderful children, each of whom has been part of the PAL family at some point. Her kids, Mekhi (18), Natalya (13), Amaya (10), and Seriya (6), have experienced both cheerleading and football at PAL. Outside of coaching, Nadia enjoys reading and coloring, hobbies she shares with her children. She also loves spending time outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature.

Nadia grew up in Cambridge, MA, where she graduated from Cambridge Ringe and Latin High School. Currently employed at NHOMS, she’s also pursuing her real estate license, showcasing her drive and commitment to personal growth.

Nadia’s commitment, enthusiasm, and unwavering support make her a well-deserving recipient of Nashua PAL’s Coach of the Year award. Congratulations, Nadia, on this recognition!
