The Nashua PAL Youth Safe Haven, located at 52 Ash Street in Nashua, provides afterschool and summer care to 350-400 youth per year.
Nashua PAL Youth Safe Haven is open to youth 7 through 18 years of age. We’re located in the heart of Nashua’s “Tree Streets” (52 Ash Street). Free membership is offered to any child that is attending school, is positive in the community and at home, and is ready to be an active member of their community.
Pay It Forward & the Mother's Garden
Pay it Forward is a program offered to youth, adults, and community members. This program allows people to invest and strengthen their community by learning life skills.
Projects include community gardens, youth led community cleanup days, murals and graffiti removal.
The Mother’s Garden, in partnership with Grow Nashua, is located on the Rail Trail between Ash Street and Vine Street. It's offered as a free garden space.
Mentors in Action
PAL's Mentors in Action program is offered for ages 7 through 18. Positive mentors from all over the Nashua community are matched one on one or in small groups.
Examples of mentoring activities include fun outings, experiential learning, community service projects, and much more. Mentoring occurs throughout every Nashua PAL program at Nashua PAL Youth Safe Haven, on college campuses, and on athletic fields. Contact us about the Mentors in Action program at 603-594-3733.
Community Leaders
Nashua PAL and youth leaders regularly participate in community educational and leadership opportunities.
Youth lead PAL community events, such as Fall Fest and Summer Blast-off. They also take leadership roles in many other opportunities, e.g., attending National PAL's Youth Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C..
